We believe that eating together -- with all the flavors, smells, and surprises of a good meal -- can be a profound, and profoundly simple, way to know one another. We’re interested in creating meals that can braid together culinary traditions, and personal and collective histories; meals that tell stories about who we are, and how we came here.
The Alimentary Kitchen hosts periodic pop-up dinners, family-style feasts, and community gatherings. We are beginning to work with the River City Garden to address local and regional food security, and aspire to support people in integrating local food into daily life and participating in the wellness of their communities. Income from pop-up cafe events goes to support our culinary-arts programs and free community events.
