HIDDEN FOREST

Ages 8 and up
Mondays 10am - 3pm
September 30 - December 9
Closed on October 14 and November 25.

 

Ten weeks in the wild spaces near Hudson: following traces and tracks of animals, listening to the plants around us, identifying what we see and hear. Building shelters. Foraging. Making wild snacks and drinking wild cider around the fire.

A writing space for children and young adults that seeks to expand our understanding of what it means to write by breaking free from rules and rights and wrongs.

 


WONDER AND THE WORLD

Ages 6 - 9
Every other Tuesday: October 22,
November 5, November 19, December 3
3pm - 6pm

 

In this workshop we'll explore the intersection of science, story and creativity: in the sky, in our dreams, in plants and bodies and across geological time. An adventure into the micro and the macro of the world’s phenomena, from ants to infinity.

 


SALT TO TASTE

Ages 8 and up
Wednesdays 3pm - 6pm. Apprentices 1pm - 6pm.
October 2 - December 11

Come together in the warmth of the Kite’s Nest kitchen to craft and curate a shared meal with the guidance of chef and food-crafter Nicole Lobue. Discover what it is we crave, and how to make it. 


SECRET CITY

Ages 8 and up
Thursdays 10am - 3pm
October 3  - December 12
Closed on November 28.

An exploration and investigation into the hidden aspects of our urban environment through cartography, architecture, history, and journalism. Drawing maps, finding treasure, building models, telling stories.
